Introducing Public Access Videophone - PAV
Empower your customers with communications freedom

The PAV is a multi-purpose, Internet-based communications marvel that provides standard payphone, videophone, keyboard and camera in one robust, vandalism-resistant package. The PAV allows everyone, including deaf, hard of hearing and speech-disabled people, to make phone calls. What’s more, the PAV serves as a communications center, allowing you to visually display important information and emergency alerts onscreen to effectively communicate with deaf and hard of hearing customers. The PAV screen can also be used to display advertising and the camera can provide supplemental security for your location.

Among its many ground-breaking features, the PAV includes a full menu of calling options, including the calling feature that is right for each segment of your consumer base.

PAV
The PAV provides the first true one-size-fits-all communications access to the telecommunications network. Fully integrated video technology gives people the freedom to choose the call format they’re most comfortable with. VRS, Video Point-to-Point, TTY or a traditional phone call — the PAV can handle multiple calls types suitable for a wide variety of users.

For the first time ever, with the push of a button, deaf, hard of hearing and speech-disabled people can gain access to a full range of communications services in a public setting. And while the access options are ideal for sign language users, the PAV is readily available to all callers, with standard telephone calls easily made through VoIP connections.

Besides a complete spectrum of calling options, additional communication opportunities are also integrated into the PAV. Users can check their online email accounts or browse the Internet using the PAV. Visual paging and local, customized announcements and news are also possible with the PAV. Deaf and hard of hearing people who will miss audio pages and announcements can be reached visually through alerts shown on the PAV’s large 15” screen.

Hearing people can use the PAV to make standard phone calls, like a regular payphone, or they can use the videophone feature to make calls to other videophones.

Deaf, hard of hearing and speech-disabled people can use the videophone make calls through the Video Relay Service (VRS) or use the keyboard to make TTY calls.

The PAV 15 inch screen can be used for visual paging, to share emergency information and alerts, and to display advertising when the phone is not in use.
